The Powerline Leadership Team met on September 27th at 4 p.m. in the Family Life Center
The following was agreed upon:

Dress Code: We made slight changes to the dress code which included the minimum length for shorts, dresses, and skirts to be no shorter than 8 inches from the bend in the knee.
The behavior standards and dress code have to be signed by parents and youth by October 15th or they can’t participate. The dress code change will go into effect on October 15th.
Extra clothes will be on hand for students to “cover up” any inappropriate clothing.
Beach wear will be decided by event.
Wednesday Night:
The new structure (sign-in, arrival activity, Bible study, organized sports …) are working out well. Changes are not needed.
Membership Care:
Expect cards and a visit from Ty for people who have not attended lately.
Create opportunities for separate Middle School and High School gatherings within the same time period (Sunday night)
Nov 8th – separate progressive dinners simultaneous
My thoughts – Nov 15th M.S. in the gym, and H.S. in homes; Nov 22nd – M.S. in homes, H.S. in gym
Other: Youth Christmas party Thursday Dec 17th
Sunday School:
Ask education Committee and Sunday School Superintendant to assist in finding more teachers for youth classes.
Parents will be asked to sit in on youth Sunday school classes to assist with the behavior problems.

Next Meeting: Sunday November 11 at 4 p.m. in the FLC to set the 2010 calendar. Afterwards, Joe and I will set the 2010 budget.

· Volunteer sign-up table outside the church

· Once in the FLC youth don’t leave without parent’s permission

The first meeting of the Youth Leadership Team

The Powerline Leadership Team will meet in the Family Life Center on Tuesday night to begin working on the Youth Handbook. The people attending this meeting still need your input. Please use this blog as one of the means to stay posted on where we are in the handbook process. After you read the post, you will be able to comment.
